Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey (ADTNJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in dance education across the state. Our mission is to provide resources, support, and networking opportunities for dance teachers and educators, fostering artistic growth and educational development in the dance community.

2023 Francis L Chalif Senior Scholarship

The 35th Annual Frances L. Chalif Memorial Scholarship Audition was held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in the style of Contemporary/Lyrical. The Frances L. Chalif Senior Scholarship Fund was begun by Amos Chalif to honor his sister Frances. She died in an automobile accident involving a drunk driver on her way to Palm Sunday Mass. The first scholarship auditions were conducted on April 5, 1987. The scholarship was maintained by Amos until his passing in 2012. The scholarship name was changed to honor both he and Frances to show our appreciation for his generosity to our organization. The scholarship is now solely funded by ADT-NJ. It is awarded annually by audition to high school students of ADT-NJ members in good standing.

ADT-NJ October 31, 2021 Workshop

Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey had its October Workshop at the New Jersey School of Ballet. Our member teachers and their students had a great time taking class with Jill Kenney (tap), Jessica Epting (ballet), Kevin Michael Raponey (jazz), and Mathew Harris (hip hop).
